Efficiency of chlorocatechol metabolism in natural and constructed chlorobenzoate and chlorobiphenyl degraders

  • Original language description

A possibility for the complementation of both ortho- and meta-cleavage pathway for chlorocatechols and its impact on degradation of chlorobenzoates accumulated during degradation of polychlorinated biphenyls was investigated. The responsible genes were subcloned into two biphenyl degraders and the activities of chlorocatechol dioxygenases in these hybrid strains were monitored.

Účinnost metabolismu chlorokatecholu v přirozených a konstruovaných degradérech chlorobenzoátu a chlorobifenylu

  • Czech description

Byly zkoumány možnosti komplementace drah biodegradace chlorokatecholu a jejího vlivu na degradaci chlorobenzoátů vzniklých při degradaci polychlorovaných bifenylů. Příslušné geny byly subklonovány do dvou bifenylových degradérů a aktivity chlorobenzoátdioxygenasy byly sledovány v těchto hybridních kmenech
