Selected strain of Chlorella sp. was grown in open solar bioreactor using nutrient solution enriched by KI. In course of 15 days long cultivation period, about 1000 ?g of iodine was incorporated to 1 g of dried algal biomass. Analyses of iodine in algaewere carried out by means of inductively coupled plasma- optical emission spectrometry. Up to 76 % of iodine found in algal biomass was in organic form. Using this biomass, 450?m of iodine per head/day was supplied to experimental sows with two different(?low? and ?high?) levels of basic intake of inorganic iodine in the diet. The supplementation of iodine bound in Chlorella significantly increased its concentration in colostrum of sows with both the low and the high intake level of this element

Přídavek jodu organicky vázaného v biomase sladkovodních řas Chlorella do krmné dávky kojících prasnic průkazně zvýšil obsah tohoto prvku v mlezivu. Zvýšení bylo zjištěno jak u prasnic s podstandardním tak i s nadstandardním obsahem anorganického jodu v podávaném krmivu.
