Effect of Bacterial Virulence on IL-18 Expression in the Amnion Infected with Escherichia coli
Original language description
Escherichia coli (an enteropathogenic O55 strain or O86 non-pathogenic strain) were administered into the amniotic cavity of pig fetuses for 10 hr. Amniotic fluid samples were and cryostat sections of amniotic membrane were analyzed for IL-18. The levelsof IL-18 in infected amniotic fluids and its tissue expression correlated with bacterial virulence and pathological changes in the amnion
Czech name
Vliv bakteriální virulence na expresi IL-18 v amnionu infikovaném Escherichia coli
Czech description
Eschericha coli (enteropatogenní O55 kmen a nepatogenní O86 kmen) byly aplikovány do amniové tekutiny prasečích plodů po dobu 10 hod. Vzorky amniové tekutiny a amniové membrány byly analyzovány na přítomnost IL-18. Hladiny IL-18 u infikovaných amniovýchtekutin a jeho tkáňová exprese korelují s bakteriální virulencí a patologickými změnami amnionu
