An invertebrate TNF functional analogue activates macrophages via lectin-saccharide interaction with ion channels

  • Original language description

CCF from annelid worms and the mammalian cytokine TNF share functional analogies that are based on similar saccharide recognition specificity. CCF-induced membrane depolarization results in the release of TNF, IL-6 and NO by macrophages via NF-KB signaling. This type of activation may represent an evlutionarily ancient mechanism

  • Czech name

Funkční analog TNF bezobratlých aktivuje makrofágy prostřednictvím lektin-sacharidové interakce s iontovými kanály

  • Czech description

CCF kroužkovitých červů a savčí cytokin TNF vykazují funkční analogii, která je založena na podobné specificitě sacharidového rozpoznávání. Depolarizace membrány indukovaná CCF má za následek produkci TNF, IL-6 a NO signalizovanou přes NF-KB. Tento způsob aktivace může představovat evolučně starý mechanismus
