Extracellular carbohydrate metabolites from Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2)
Original language description
A new ribose trisaccharide Alfa-Ribf-(1-2)-Alfa-Ribf-(1-3)-Alfa-Ribf was isolated together with 2-O-(Alfa-mannosyl)-myo-inositol, 5-O-(Alfa-mannosyl)-myo-inositol, trehalose, and D-ribulose from a submerged cultivation of Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2). The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods. Concentrations of these compounds in the medium were in the range from 0.04 to 0.5 mg/mL
