Original language description

Suitable morphological characteristics for identification of zygnematalean algae were determined using a combination of classical light microscopy (LM) techniques, fluorescence microscopy (with blue and green excitation), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and specialized culture methods. Detailed LM and SEM observations of zygospores of all Zygnema species thus could provide basic data necessary for the preparation of an atlas and key for species identification which, after completion with molecular methods, brings clarification into the genetic relationships between morphospecies

Czech description

Vhodné morfologické charakteristiky pro identifikaci řas Zygnematales byly stanoveny při použití kombinace klasické optické mikroskopie (LM), fluorescenční mikroskopie (při modré a zelené excitaci), rastrovací elektronové mikroskopie (SEM) a speciálníchkultivačních metod. Detailní LM a SEM pozorování zygospor všech Zygnema druhů by tak mohla poskytnout základní údaje pro přípravu atlasu a klíče k identifikaci jednotlivých druhů, které po doplnění molekulárními metodami objasní genetické vztahy mezi těmito morfologickými druhy
