The effect of supplementation of selenium inorganic and organic forms on the activity of glutathione-peroxidase (GSH-Px) was investigated for eight months in three groups of ewes and in born lambs. Group E1 received daily 180?g Se in sodium selenite, theewes of the group E2 were administered a supplement of 180?g Se organically bound in the biomass of the alga Chlorella. Control group C was without selenium supplement. Higher utilization of the Chlorella-Se was reflected in a higher content of Se in the milk of E2 ewes, higher activity of GSH-Px in the whole blood of their lambs.and higher Se concentration in the blood serum

Byl zjišťován vliv selenu, dodávaného bahnicím a jejich mláďatům po dobu osmi měsíců jako doplněk krmné dávky jednak v organické formě v biomase řas Chlorella, jednak v anorganické formě seleničitanu sodného.V obou případech byla denní dávka selenu 180?g. U organické formy selenu, dodávaného v řasové biomase byl zjištěn pozitivní efekt projevující se vyšší aktivitou GSH-Px v krvi jehňat, vyšším obsahem Se v krevním séru a vyšším obsahem Se v mléku bahnic
