Original language description
The generic concept of Dictyochaeta was reevaluated using polyphasic approach. The significance of selected taxonomic characters was assesed. Thirteen species were accepted, of which seven are characterized in this study. Two former Dictyochaeta species were revealed as non-congeneric with the type species D. fuegiana, and two new genera, Achrochaeta and Tubullicola, were introduced.
