Aeroelastic model of vocal-fold-shaped vibrating element for studying the phonation threshold.
Original language description
Original theoretical model for vibration onset of the vocal folds in the air-flow coming from the human subglottal tract is designed, which allows studying the influence of the physical properties of the vocal folds on their vibration characteristics. Agenerally defined shape of the vocal-fold is considered for expressing the unsteady aerodynamic forces in the glottis. The characteristics obtained from the coupled numerical solution are in reasonable qualitative agreement with the physiological data.
