Aerodynamic support of a 100 kW input industrial turboblower rotor

Result description

Aerodynamic bearing support for the rotor of a 100 kW input industrial turboblower with operational speed of 18.000 rpm was designed and manufactured. Rotor with mass of about 50 kg is supported in two tilting-pad journal bearings 120 mm in diameter, axial forces are taken up by aerodynamic spiral groove thrust bearing 250 mm in diameter. In the paper some specific features of the bearing design are described and the results of rotor relative vibration measurement during putting the machine into trial operation are presented.

    Bylo navrženo a zkonstruováno aerodynamické uložení rotoru motoru o výkonu 100 kW s provozními otáčkami 18000 ot/min. Rotor o hmotnosti cca 50 kg je uložen ve dvou radiálních segmentových ložiskách o průměru 120 mm, axiální síly jsou eliminovány spirálovými aerodynamickými ložisky o průměru 250 mm. V příspěvku jsou uvedeny základní charakteristiky konstrukčních návrhů ložisek a popsány výsledky dynamických měření kmitání rotoru během provozních zkoušek.
