    Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy (RUS) is a technique for investigation of elastic properties of solids based on the inversion of natural frequencies of free elastic vibrations of a small simply shaped specimen. The scanning laser interferometer providesinformation about eigenmode shapes, wich improve mode identification and thus considerably stabilize the inversion calculation.
