    Utilization of MHD Pumps of Molten Metal for Cooling of Fast Nuclear Reactors

  • Original language description

    Pumps of molten metal based on magnetohydrodynamic principle represent an alternative to classical rotational pumps. These pro-spective devices without movable parts may advantageously be used for pumping cooling medium in some types of nuclear reac-torsof the fourth generation. The paper deals with the mathemati-cal and computer modeling of their operation. The theoretical analysis is illustrated by an example whose results are discussed.
