Original language description
Ultrasonic imaging of material complexity is investigated theoretically and experimentally using the concept of symmetry analysis based signal processing applied to the nonlinear elastic wave spectroscopy (NEWS). These concepts have been tested experimentally on several complex media. Time Reversal invariance, reciprocity, and chirp coded-excitation are used to extract nonlinear signature of the tested medium.
