Oscillation Pattern Decomposition ? Description, Interpretation and Applications
Original language description
The Oscillation Pattern Decomposition (OPD) method implemented in the new version of the Dynamics Studio software is to be presented. The OPD is a powerful method for analysis and prediction of spatio-temporal data coming from application of time resolved spatial method (PIV, PLIF,). The dynamical behavior of the complex system is represented by system of oscillatory modes, each mode is characterized by spatial pattern, frequency and damping. The modes are identified according to theirs stability properties. Brief mathematical background will be given. The main attention is to be paid to interpretation of the results and to possible applications.
