Non-contact methods of sensing vibrations of turbine blades
Original language description
A cutting-edge measurement systém for non-intrusive operational analysis of blade characteristics in turbomachinery has been developed in the Institute of Thermomechanics. Issues connected with non-contact sensing of blade vibrations in principles of non-contact sensors of blade passages based on measuring deflections or velocity components are described and compared, including new magnetoresistive sensors, also developed in the Institute. Selection of a sensor type is focused on a demanded accuracy ofthe blde position measurements with respect to the used method.
