Simulation of stresses in human vocal folds during vibration
Original language description
Developed FE model of the vocal folds enables to predict stresses in the vocal fold tissue due to the vibration of the vocal folds in normal phonation regimes with collisions. The generated motion of the vocal folds is qualitatively similar to the vibration patterns known from the clinical observations and the computed impact stress at the vocal fold surface is in agreement with the measurements, and with data obtained by modeling of the impact stress using the aeroelastic model of the vocal folds.
