  • Original language description

    The contribution deals with the bypass-transition correlations taking into account the effect of free-stream turbulence and wall roughness. The transition region is expressed by means of empirical correlations for the onset and the length of the transition region depending mainly on the pressure gradient and free-stream turbulence. The accessible correlations for the effect of free-stream turbulence and wall roughness on the bypass transition are compared and appreciated by means of the boundary layer on the rough-wall flat plate.
