Microfluidic Devices for Combinatorial Chemistry
Original language description
Combinatorial chemistry discovers new marketable materials, substances and pharmaceuticals by synthesising them and testing their properties. Because the number of substances is extremely high it is necessary to speed the processes by running the tests in parallel. Microfluidic devices for combinatorial chemistry are small and may be run in large numbers in parallel. The fluid may carry solid samples and objects, like e.g. living cells. Advanced mathematical methods are applied to processing the data toidentify the desirable optimum.
