The purpose of the workshop was to discuss national and regional innovations systems, mainly in Germany and Czech Republic. The systems presented included the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft management system of innovations, the Czech national funding of applied research by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, the Czech national funding of applied research by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the system of management of innovations at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC).
