Algebraic model of turbulent flow in ducts of rectangular cross-section with rounded corners
Original language description
Of increasing popularity especially for ditribution of air flows are nowadays ducts of essentialy rectangular cross-section with large-radii rounded corners. Authors developeed a closed-form analytic model of turbulent flows in these ducts, making possible evaluation of velocity distributions and volume flow rates as a function of duct cross-section geometry. The model was validated by comparison with laboratory experiments in full-scale ducts.
