Testing of local SHM system designed for power plant pipeline
Original language description
In the frame of project called NEMENUS (TACR TK01030108, 2018-2022) we designed and tested a local SHM system for continuous monitoring of a part of nuclear power plant pipeline. The functionality of complex SHM system was demonstrated on the tube samples subjected to fatigue loading. The samples with initial cracks were fitted with piezoelectric transducers used to acoustic emission and nonlinear elastic wave spectroscopy testing, together with FBG optical cables for strain measurements. Results correlated with Digital Twin simulations were to be published at World NDT Conference (20th WCNDT 2020, South Korea) but due to the COVID-19 pandemy, the conference was shifted to 2022 year, and results were preliminary published at the 11th International workshop NDT in Progress, held in Prague.
