Original language description
The paper introduces principles of an active compensation of a general single-phase load connected to the three-phase network. The aim of the compensation is a symmetrical and only active load of the three-phase network. A modular multilevel voltage converter is considered as a compensation device. Relations among the single-phase load current and desired current references for the multilevel converter are formulated. In order to reach savings of devices, a compensation converter with only two branches is considered. A concept of the way to reach desired currents of the three-phase network and simulation results are presented.
