Original language description
An intense solar flare, Ground Level Event (GLE) 60 has been registered on-board of an aircraft by means of a Si-diode spectrometer. The aircrew and passenger exposure increased by a factor of about two, a change of on-board radiation quality was also stated. Good correlation of measurements results with cosmic ray monitors data was confirmed.
