Study of the conversion electron and XPS spectra of radioactive Co-57 sources.
Original language description
K and L conversion electron and X-ray photoelectron spectra for a radioactive Co-57 source were measured using two electrostatic spectrometers. The structure of the source and its effect on the emitted electrons were investigated. The effect of additional evaporated gold layers on the L conversion lines, vas examined, too. The observed line shapes were reasonably described by means of Monte Carlo simulations. The influence of the source backing material on the K-14 line was studied.
