Spectroscopy at the N=20 shell closure: the beta-decay of Mg-32
Original language description
The shell closure N=20 has been studied by beta-decay spectroscopy experiment performed at the GANIL facility. The experimental setup is described and first results on the beta-decay of Mg-32 are presented. The extracted level scheme of Al-32 is comparedto Shell Model calculations and discussed in the light of the structural changes observed for the nuclei of the so-called island of inversion. Finally, neutron time-of-flight spectrum from the beta-delayed neutron decay of Mg-32 is presented
Czech name
Spektroskopie u slupky N=20: beta-rozpad 32Mg
Czech description
Vlastnosti jader v blízkosti slupky N=20 byly studovány pomocí beta-rozpadu. Schema vzbuzených stavů 32Al je srovnáno s předpovědmi slupkového modelu.
