Validation of k(0) standardization method in neutron activation analysis-The use of Kayzero for Windows programme at the nuclear physics institute, Rez
Original language description
The goal of this work was to validate the method of the k(0) standardization in neutron activation analysis at the laboratory of neutron activation analysis in Rez using the Kayzero for Windows software package. For verification of the precision and accuracy of the method two types of reference materials were used. One was a set of synthetic materials aimed at checking the implementation of k(0) standardization. The others were matrix standard reference materials of the US National Institute of Standards and Technology comprising several types of matrices. In general, good agreement was obtained between results of this work and values in certificates of the individual reference materials, thus proving the accuracy of our results and successful implementation of the method for analysis of real samples. In addition, detection limits for more than 50 elements were evaluated.
