Dosimetry in heavy ion beams using various detectors
Original language description
This contribution is focused on the detailed description of the energy transfer of heavy ions to matter. The experiments were performed at the HIMAC facility in Japan in cooperation with NIRS staff. We employed measuring instruments that have been already been proven in this application; we believe that our specific combination of passive and active detectors is advantageous. Our experimental setup includes track-etched detectors (TED), thermoluminescence dosimeters (TLD), and Liulin, a spectrometer that measures energy deposition in silicon.
