First Test of z-Scaling in Hadron and Jet Production in pp Collisions at LHC
Original language description
First data on charged hadron and K-S(0) meson transverse momentum spectra in pp collisions obtained by the CMS Collaboration at the LHC are analyzed to test z-scaling. Saturation of the scaling function psi(z) at low z is confirmed. New data on inclusivecross sections of jet production in pp collisions at the LHC are analyzed in the framework of z-presentation and compared with the Tevatron data. The power behavior of psi(z) over a wide z-range is verified. New confirmation of z-scaling of jet production is obtained.
