    Dr. Eng. Massimo Rogante, Director of REO, has been working in the neutron field for over 25 years. He has a degree in mechanical engineering, a PhD in nuclear engineering, and is a member of the Scientific Selection Panel of the Centre of Accelerators & Nuclear Analytical Methods (CANAM) of the NPI, as well as a member of various other international and national scientific institutions (e.g., the International Scientific Advisory Committee of the Budapest Neutron Centre and the SINE2020 WP4 advisory committee). During the preparatory phase of the European Spallation Source (ESS) project, REO was selected and committed to coordinate the Italian industry, i.e. the workgroup, 'Industry and Industrial Applications', in the frame of ESS-Italia.
