Population of Excited States in 45Ti Nuclei in Charge Exchange Reactions in a 29-MeV 3He Beam
Original language description
The charge exchange reaction (He-3, t) is studied using target odd nuclei of Sc-45 and Au-197 at 29-MeV He-3 beam energy. The angular distributions of the emission of deuterons and tritium in the Sc-45(He-3, t)Ti- 45 and Au-197(He-3, t) Hg-197 reactions are studied. Experiments have shown that the maximum values of the cross sections for tritium emission reactions are achieved at angles close to the grazing angle. This indicates that the charge exchange reactions are of peripheral nature. The angular differential cross sections for the triton emission upon the population of the ground and excited states in Ti-45 nuclei are accurately measured for the Sc-45(He-3, t) Ti-45 reaction.
