Optical biosensors using surface plasmon resonance.
Original language description
We present a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor based on prism excitation of surface plasmons and spectral interrogation. For specific detection of biomolecular analytes, multilayers of monoclonal antibodies are immobilized on the surface of the sensor. Detection of biomolecular analytes such as human .beta. 2 -microglobulin, choriogonadotropin, hepatitis B surface antigen, salmonella enteritidis is demonstrated.
