PP/HDPE blends are compatibilized by reactive extrusion. The compatibilizer is synthesised in-situ during the extrusion process: the corresponding grafted species, added in each homopolymer, react at the interface with a coupling molecule. The interfacial adhesion of the model interfaces is measured by asymetric double cantilever beam test.
