    Absorption of fluorescence labeled poly[N(2-hydroxyethyl)-D,L-aspartamide] from the airways was studied in perfused rat lung. Reduced temperature and presence of metabolic inhibitors was used to kinetically clarify the mechanisms of cellular transport pathways. The role of active transport process dependent on the intracellular energy was determined.
