Ultrafiltration and microfiltration membranes in latex purification by diafiltration with suction.
Original language description
Optimum operation conditions were determined in purification of poly(glycidyl methacrylate) nanoparticle suspension from salts and surfactant by diafiltration with suction using ultrafiltration and microfiltration membranes differing in porosity and poredimensions. A correlation between the membrane permeability as well as the sucking diafiltration performance and transmembrane pressure (controlled by changing the flow rate and diameter of the inlet tubes in permeate and retentate lines) were found.
