Dewetting of thin film blends containing block copolymer: effects of nonadsorbing block length and substrate hydrophobicity.
Original language description
The effects of p(dPS-b-MMA) block copolymers on the dewetting of PS films are investigated using optical microscopy and AFM. PMMA block of the copolymer is attracted to the silicon substrate and dPS block is mixed with PS matrix. The rate of dewetting decreases with increasing length of dPS block, and it is entirely suppressed if dPS is longer than PS. If the silicon surface was hydrophobized by introducing aminogroups, no dewetting of the PS/block copolymer film was detected.
