In vitro hemocompatibility of albumin-heparin multilayer coatings on polyethersulfone prepared by the layer-by-layer technique

  • Original language description

Polyethersulfone foils (PES) - a unique material for blood purification membranes - were coated with a multilayer assembly of heparin and albumin, or with a multilayer of albumin, using the layer-by-layer technique. The surfaces were incubated with circulating slightly heparinized human whole blood. In comparison with uncoated PES, all the coatings effectively reduced platelet adhesion and activation and the thrombin formation. The coatings containing heparin reduced complement activation.

In vitro hemokompatibilita polyétersulfonu povlečeného multivrstvami albuminu a heparinu připravenými "layer-by-layer" technikou.

  • Czech description

Polyethersulfónové folie (PES) ? jedinečný materiál pro membrány používané k pročišťování krve- byly pokryty mnohovrstevnými soubory heparinu a albuminu nebo multivrstvami albuminu pomocí "layer-by-layer" techniky. Povrchy byly inkubovány s cirkulující lehce heparinizovanou plnou krví. Ve srovnání s nepokrytým PES, všechny povlaky efektivně redukovaly adhezi a aktivaci krevních destiček a tvorbu trombinu. Povlaky obsahující heparin snižovaly aktivaci komplementu.
