    Crystallization of poly(N-methyldodecano-12-lactam) in blends with poly(styrene-stat-acrylic acid)

    Crystallization of blends of poly(N-methyldodecano-12-lactam) (PMDL) with statistical copolymer poly(styrene-stat-acrylic acid) (PSAA) has been studied by the DSC and WAXD methods. Crystallinity and melting point of PMDL decreased with PSAA content, confirming miscibility of the blend. In blends with higher PSAA content, primary crystallization was significantly suppressed in favour of secondary crystallization, which was attributed to lower mobility of PMDL chains and specific interactions with amorphous copolymer.

    Krystalizace směsí poly(N-metyldodekano-12-laktamu) (PMDL) se statistickým kopolymerem poly(styren-stat-akrylová kyselina) (PSAA) byla studována DSC a WAXD metodou. Krystalinita a bod tání PMDL klesaly s PSAA obsahem, což potvrzuje mísitelnost směsi. Vesměsích s vyšší obsahem PSAA byla primární krystalizace výrazně potlačena ve prospěch sekundární krystalizace, což bylo přisouzeno nižší mobilitě PMDL řetězců a specifickým interakcím s amorfním kopolymerem.
