Paper offers a review of almost 150 protein beamlines at 70 sources of synchrotron radiation build already in 23 countries. The project of Central European Synchrotron Laboratory (CESLAB) and the construction of modern and highly specialized diffractionbeamlines in the Brno region will bring a remarkable contribution to advancement of the European science. New design of macromolecular beamlines promises much better performance and precision of structure determination than it is provided by standing synchrotrons in world.

Článek nabízí přehled téměř 150 zařízení pro stanovení struktury proteinů instalovaných na 70 synchrotronech ve 23 zemích. Projekt Středoevropské synchrotronové laboratoře s vysoce specializovaným zařízení pro proteinovou krystalografii v Brněnské oblasti zlepší významně úroveň Evropské vědy. Zařízení pro zobrazování struktury biologických makromolekul poskytne uživatelům mnohem spolehlivější, přesnější a rychlejší stanovení struktury než je tomu u současných synchrotronů ve světě.
