Original language description
The presented results confirm the use of a natural mixture of calcareous sediments containing a certain amount of clay and sand as a source of lime fabrication. The materials were tested by the 27Al MAS-NMR in solid state which confirmed an aluminum ionin 4-fold coordination to oxygen and the ability to form along with silica chained structures. This composition forms the stabile poly-condensed component of mortars and contributes to the long-term stability of historical mortars.
