Gas transport properties and pervaporation performance of fluoropolymer gel membranes based on pure and mixed ionic liquids
Original language description
Ionic liquid polymer gel membranes based on poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) were prepared by solvent casting. The membranes contain pure or mixed ionic liquids based on the imidazolium cation: 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide and 1-hexadecyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide. Both ionic liquids have the same anion bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide. The performance of the membranes was tested in gas separations and in pervaporation.
