The performance of thermally sprayed coatings is significantly influnced by residual stresses.In the present research project five different spraying techniques(Vacuum, Atmospheric and Water Stabilised Plasma Spray, Flame Spray and Wire Arc Spray) were applied to manufacture metallic NiCrAlY deposits of diverse types of microstructures.
