Excitation and radiation of hifhly ionised ions in the fast gas-filled-capillary discharge.
Original language description
Capillary discharges as potential soft X-ray lasers are a cheap alternative to laser-plasma based soft X-ray lasers, free-electron X-ray lasers, coherent synchrotron sources, and coherent sources based on higher harmonics generation.Lasing of capillary discharges /1/ and achievement of saturation limit in them/2/ were demostrated by J.J. Rocca(Colorado State University) in mid-nineties.
