    Experimental Investigation of Fully Turbulent Plasma Jet and its Interaction with Ambient Air

    The present work represents an experimental study of a subsonic turbulent thermal plasma jet generated by a DC arc torch. Such jets interact very intensively with the surrounding atmosphere entraining air. The paper examines how much the entrainment process depends on initial plasma parameters at the place of jet issuing from the torch nozzle. Modification of the parameters was realized by change of arc current and secondary gas flow rate.

    Tento článek popisuje experimentální studium proudu plazmatu generovaného v plazmatronu se stabilizací vodou a argonem. Takové proudy jsou turbulentní, intenzivně reagují s okolním vzduchem a nasávají ho. Článek zkoumá jak proces nasávání závisí na výchozích parametrech na výstupu plazmatronu. Parametry se měnily uzpůsobením proudu a průtoku argonu.
