    Understanding SOL plasma turbulence by interchange motions

    Plasma fluctuations in the scrape-off layer (SOL) of tokamak TCV have been investigated by means of electrostatic probes, and compared directly with two-dimensional fluid interchange turbulence simulation ESEL. In this contribution we focus on comparingspatial scales of density and temperature turbulent structures. Significant difference in statistical behaviour of both density and temperature fluctuations between the tokamak top and the low-field side location has been found experimentally on the small tokamak CASTOR, whilst still the statistical characteristics correspond well at the low-field side with the ESEL simulations.

    Fluktuace plazmatu v SOL tokamaku TCV byly zkoumány elektrostatickými sondami a srovnány přímo s 2D tekutinovým modelem turbulence ESEL. V tomto příspěvku se zaměříme na srovnání prostorových rozměrů turbulentních struktur. Významný rozdíl v statistickémchování teploty i hustoty jsme našli mezi vrchem a vnější stranou tokamaku, jež potvrzuje představu o dominanci výměnné nestability v generování turbulence.
