Gasification/pyrolysis of biomass was experimentally studied using crushed wood as a model substance. An experimental plasmachemical reactor was equipped with hybrid gas-water stabilized torch (160 kW) Plasma torch gasification offers the advantage thata very broad range of biomass feedstock is transformed into a valuable and clean synthesis gas that consists mainly of hydrogen and CO and that is of sufficient quality to be readily used for chemical synthesis purposes and for the sustainable local production of hydrogen.

Czech description
Experimentálně byla studována pyrolýza biomasy a produkce syntetického plynu s vysokým obsahem vodíku a CO. Při experimentech byl využit nový plazmochemický reaktor s hybridním plazmatronem 160 kW navržený pro ekologickou likvidaci a energetické a chemické zhodnocení odpadů.
