Cavitation induced by focused tandem shock waves in water(BIOELECTRICS 2011)
Original language description
Předneseno:8th International Bioelectrics Symposium (BIOELECTRICS 2011),Toulouse, Francie,4-6.5.2011; The temporal evolution of cavitation generated by shock waves at the focal region was investigated experimentally using high-temporal-resolution microphotography for different time delays between the first and second shock waves. A theoretical model that provides analytical expressions for the temporal evolution of the pressure waveform of the second shock wave at the focal area was developed. The amplitudes of the compression and rarefaction parts of the second shock wave in the focus were determined to be about 40 MPa and on the order of minus tens of MPa, respectively.
