Předneseno na: 25th Symposium on Plasma Physics and Technology,Prague, 18.06.-21.06.2012, str.19, We recently published the results of applying the first-derivative method to process the electron branch of the IV characteristics measured in tokamak edgeplasma by Langmuir probes (LPs) to evaluate precisely the plasma potential and the electron energy distribution function (EEDF). In this paper we report results from experimental data obtained on the COMPASS tokamak, by LPs embedded in the divertor tilesand processed using the first-derivative probe method. Resulting values of the electron temperature and density, are used for model calculations to recreate the IV characteristic, based on an extended formula for the electron probe current. Comparison of the modelled IV characteristics with experimental ones shows a satisfactory agreement. The results presented in this paper demonstrate that the first-derivative probe method allows to acquire the plasma potential and the EEDF
