LIF diagnostics of N (A3Su+, v=0-10) metastables under nitrogen streamer conditions(XXII ESCAMPIG2014)
Original language description
Předneseno na:Europhysics Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics of Ionized Gases (XXII ESCAMPIG),Greifswald,DE,15.07.-19.07.2014, Evolution of N2(A3u+, v10) metastable species produced by triggered single filamentary streamer discharge was investigated by laser induced fluorescence technique. Triggered streamer filaments were produced in pure nitrogen at 200 torr and metastable species were monitored during the streamer channel decay in the centre of the discharge gap. Our results show that populations of N2(A3u+, v=0-10) levels decay exponentially for higher v s (v7) while populations of lower levels (v6) increase first, reach maxima in microsecond timescale and decrease afterwards. Observed behaviour is explained on base of collisional cascade transferring metastables from higher v-levels towards v=0,1 levels through the v=2 vibrational relaxation.
