Time Evolution of a High-Voltage Discharge in Water With Shock Wave Assistance in a Plate-to-Plate Geometry
Original language description
An experimental investigation has been conducted to study the morphology of electrical discharge performed in a plate to plate configuration. An electrical breakdown in the plate to plate configuration is generally difficult to produce because of a weakuniform electric field in the interelectrode region. When the uniformity is disturbed by shock wave the electrical breakdown occurs. Time-resolved observation of the electrical discharge in plate to plate configuration using highspeed camera is presented
