Perspectives and challenges of digital holographic tomography of ferroelectric domain walls(Ferroelectrics Workshop 2014)
Original language description
Předneseno na:Ferroelectrics Workshop 2014; March 23-26,2014;Leysin,Switzerland The aim of the proposed project is the research of methods for visualization of ferroelectric domain walls using digital holographic tomography.Within the project, there willbe developed, first, methods for optical visualization of static domain walls and, second, methods for visualization of dynamic displacements of domain walls in harmonic external electric field. The developed methods will applied to visualization of staticand dynamic phenomena in ferroelectric domain patterns, such as coexistence of more than two domain states in a ferroelectric material, interactions of domain walls with crystal lattice defects, nucleation of domains during processes of polarization switching, etc. Results of optical observations will be used for calibration and verification of numerical models based on phase field modeling.Since domain patterns have tremendous effect on macroscopic properties of ferrorelectric materials
